"Nick Vivid is a true testament to New York City's culture, talent, and ever-changing mood." - Earmilk
Nick Vivid is a solo electronic artist from New York City.
Nick was raised in Buffalo NY. He was introduced to soul and blues music by his father, a DJ on the legendary radio station WBLK. His mom introduced him to 1970's glam rock. Nick's first forrays into music were recordings on his 4-track machine in his teens. He then pursued rock and roll with fervor and moved to New York City at the behest of original KISS and Billy Idol manager, Bill Aucoin. Most notably, Nick was frontman for the underground New York City band Drag Citizen.
Now, as a solo artist, Nick has released his third album, Blissed Out. His sound incorporates his love for rock, funk, hip hop, disco, and electronic music.
Nick has toured internationally throughout America and Canada, playing cities such as Los Angeles, Toronto, and Montreal. In the past, he has opened for acts such as Ween, Bret Michaels, Danko Jones, and Faster Pussycat. Recently, Nick has been featured on the HBO TV Series Vinyl. His new album, Blissed Out, has received critical acclaim from Earmilk and Medium.com.
Nick's live show is a visual escape, incorporating synchronized video and light effects working in time with Nick's dance moves and falsetto vocals. His entire objective is to give the audience "a high that leaves them charged and energized."
